To drive a road sweeper you will normally require a HGV licence, as most vehicles are over 13 tonnes. We do have a few 7.5 ton machines which can be driven under a Class B licence.
To drive our diggers and dumpers it is your responsibility to be competent and have the necessary licences where applicable.
The hire period starts when the plant vehicle/equipment leaves our depot and concludes when it has been returned and checked back into the depot.
A delivery charge applies to all deliveries, though you may collect the plant equipment from our depot if you prefer. Please ask for delivery details and pricing when you are arranging your hire.
All our plant hire vehicles are supplied with a full tank of white diesel. You are expected to return the vehicle with a full tank of the same fuel. All the fuel used is the responsibility of the hirer.
The hirer will be responsible for the plant equipment/vehicle. As such we will need to see a copy of your insurance policy before we can release the equipment/vehicle.
Yes, we accept all major credit cards. Payment must be made in advance and cover the entire hire period. There is a surcharge payable for credit card payments. Please ask for confirmation of the charges applicable when you make payment.
We only offer an account facility to UK registered companies. To setup an account you will need to complete an Account Application Form and we will perform a credit check via a credit reference agency. We reserve the right to decline an application and our decision is final. All account credit terms are strictly 30 days net basis. Failure to comply with these terms will result in your account being suspended and steps being taken to recover what you owe.
All of our plant equipment is covered by our 24-hour support service. We will ensure a fully trained technician is sent to the site to assess, repair and if necessary recover and replace the vehicle.
We do charge for damage caused to our equipment/vehicles whilst they are hired to our customers. It is advisable to secure all equipment left on site and ensure they are protected from vandalism.
All our plant equipment is fully checked against a list before delivery or collection to ensure everything is present and correct. In the event of anything going missing during the hire period, we will charge for the cost of replacing the missing item/part on a like for like basis at the market rate including any costs for delivery or installation.
We always try to be flexible with our customers and where possible allow them to extend the hire of a vehicle if needed. To extend the hire of the equipment, you must contact us before the original hire period is over to request an extension and make a further payment to cover the extra hire period. Failure to do this may result in costs for the extension period as well as the recovery of our equipment. Any costs will if necessary be recovered by a legal claim against you or your company.
